Dear friends and patrons:

We have exciting news, and some sad news. Since we always say “give me the bad news first,” we’ll be brief:

We regret that after 41 years of serving our loyal restaurant friends, and catering customers at so many varied locations, we are closing our facilities at 209 Warren Street, effective March 31, 2012.

However, the good news seems to be Really Big:

Benham’s (our first Dayton location was at 2419 Far Hills Avenue in 1946) once again is relocating our restaurant and catering operation, now to the former site of Norton’s Restaurant at 2505 Wilmington Pike.

The restaurant will offer our favorite fresh fish, meat and pasta dishes, and old and new homemade desserts, served in an attractive, comfortable setting. Norton’s had a sizable bar, so Benham’s will feature a smaller bar, but with a sizable bistro appetizer menu.

The opening date (mid to late summer) and hours will be posted on our web site.

Thank you again and WATCH for us on Wilmington Pike!
